This is an interactive installation that recreates a personal experience of intoxication and delusion after mistakenly consuming the wrong type of mushrooms.

All the screen printing inks, including both the regular and fluorescent ones, were made from scratch by me, starting with blending the binder and pigments.

In this installation, audiences enter a room with visual delusion patterns in saturated colors (symbolizing danger in nature) and a plate of mushrooms. When they 'consume' a mushroom by lifting one from the plate, the action triggers a change in lighting, revealing previously invisible mushroom shapes while retaining the patterns. This transformation symbolizes the hallucinogenic effects of the mushroom.

While traveling in Yunnan, China—a province known for its rich natural resources and tradition of eating wild-grown vegetables, especially mushrooms in April, I experienced intoxication and delusion after mistakenly consuming the wrong type of mushrooms. Having only heard about such incidents before, I never imagined it would happen to me, and it would be fun to recreate it with art.
